Very interesting loads of information. Lovely people.

I have been to the airforce museum in North London before, which is a massive place with several hangars full of artefacts. Shuttleworth is not far behind although not as big. It's nicely tucked away in the countryside with lots of parking. They have air shows too on certain days, which I didn't get a chance to watch. There is a decent restraunt and a gift shop too. The garden nearby is 'pay to visit', but please don't bother unless you want to see a couple of peacocks.

Good museum. Six hangers of exhibits, plenty to see. Cafe. Can see planes taking off and landing.

Great place if interested in classic vehicles & planes. Brilliant exhibition of WW2 & WW1 planes. Great gift shop, caf and a brilliant way to spend a day. Lots of exhibits & staff always willing to help. Several different events going on all year round. Sometimes the place even has some of the planes flying. Really informative and fun for all ages.

Entrance prices can be a little steep when compared with other air and military museums of similar quality. There is a couple of hours vehicle material here for most people, however, it is worth a few extra pounds to take in the adjacent Swiss gardens. This is a pleasant semi-formal landscape with water features and can spin the trip out to a full afternoon. Families with small children might find them getting a little restless, but there is a good children's play area hidden at the back of the hangers (though it is too spread out making it hard to keep track of kids!).Overall, this is a well ordered collection that might benefit from more placement of the pieces in context for a casual visitor.
