Great day out, lots to see with plenty of in-depth knowledge to go along with the exhibits on show. Garden is beautiful and well maintained very pleasant walk around which could take up a good part of the morning or afternoon. Very reasonably priced cafe serving hot or cold food and drink. Very clean and tidy.
June Evening Air Show was great and blue skies galour! Visited hangers, shop, restaurant, cafe, food stalls first. Lovelly 'feeling' around venue. I suggest to take garden chairs, rugs, nibbles, etc - lie back and enjoy great show! Highlight for me was glidder, pilot was so good! It was a glider without tail, it was just a 'wing and cockpit' - amazing!
Always something to see; good food; relaxed atmosphere; keeping great planes like the Spitfire flying.
The Old Warden Aerodrome is on the same par as Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome, both of whom are the leaders in their field of excellence. You have to visit, as my review can't do it justice on it's own.My personal score is 10/10 and I award Old Warden Aerodrome my Gold Star for Excellence.....Having visited today (08/04/18), since my review 4 months ago; I vote Old Warden Aerodrome;'The Best Aerodrome in the UK'.
a lot to see plenty of previous war aircraft.flying days at certain times of year. also model aircraft flying.cafe restaurant is very good with a good range of things to eat and drink and they sell books and toys .
